BIRTH. DAY.

Birth Day. Somewhere along the line the real meaning of the day is lost amongst the memories of dinosaur birthday cakes, presents, and the occasional piñata.

but here is a flashback to the first birth day...October 6th, 1985

in my personal philosophy birthdays are really all about having one day a year to celebrate the ones you love and show how thankful you are for the special day that they came into this world..yes I am cheesy but how could you not love this little guy...

25 years later...wow....I got to celebrate the one I love!

Lindsey's Last Fling Before the Ring...

For most girls, your Bachelorette party rarely lives up to expectations. I can say from firsthand experience...Lindsey Howd's bachelorette party exceeded expectations!

We are all getting a little older now and it becomes more rare to catch a glimpse of the girls we knew college, we are all maturing and whether we like to admit it or not, we are all becoming a little more tame.

Saturday night all I could see was Lindsey Howd sophomore year in Massey. She was in rare form, the way she is supposed to be the night of her bachelorette party!

Below is a little slideshow of Lindsey's last fling before the ring, ENJOY! :)

At the hotel right before the Lingerie Shower!

The beautiful BRIDE!

At this point...getting a little Bridezilla in her :)

Ready to go out!!

Runaway Bride!! I.E. Funniest part of the night!

Once we caught the Bride..

Cat with Collar Found

You guessed it...this blog post is about cats. And if you are wondering why I would blog about cats...you probably shouldn't be reading this. Just kidding! But yes, that is the theme of this post.

So last Tuesday I was going about my business walking to work from the parking garage and I spotted a cat hiding in the bushes. I approached the cat along with two other people and we caught it and looked for a tag. It had an adorable polka dot collar on but of course no tag (word to the wise...if you are going to put a collar on your cat, you might as well put a tag!). The cat jumped out of our arms and ran towards a the busy intersection of 16th and White Ave. Luckily we caught it and came up with a plan. One of the girls was going to take it to my vet a couple of blocks over and I was going to call the vet, pay for whatever lodging costs while I tried to track down the owner. I was consumed with finding this cats owner because honestly I hoped that someone would do the same if they found Milo! So I ran about 50 copies of a flier that I was planning on posting around local apartment buildings...see below:

When I walked back in to my office after running off copies, I had a message on my phone! It was the vet calling to say they had found a chip in the calico cat and tracked down the owner. It was a successful day, and the cat was returned back to its home! Don't worry I recycled the fliers :)

It was a funny story with a happy ending and it got me thinking about how thankful I am for my cat Milo. He is my baby and I am dedicating this blog post to my furry little friend! Below are some of my all time favorite Milo pictures!
