SNOW DAY

Happy New Year!!!

This is my first time to blog in 2011! This year is off to a great start!! Today for the first time in forever UT closed for the day! Brett didn't have to work either so we have been enjoying our Snow Day!!

Check out our snowman!

His carrot nose was a little big for his head but he is still cute!

After coming in from building our snowman, Brett and I had an amazing grilled ham and swiss sandwich and tomato soup! Perfect for a snowy day! I have the recipe below!

Grilled Ham & Cheese
-----------------------------------
-Take 2 slices of thick cut white or wheat bread
-Heat a skillet up to med-high and melt a little bit of butter
-Add one side of your bread, and lay on the swiss cheese!
-In order to make the perfect grilled cheese, cut your heat down to med-low and wait for it to melt
-Once is starts to get melted, add your ham on top
-On your other piece of break put whatever condiments you like (honey mustard, mayo, etc)
-Lay it on the other slice and take them both out of the skillet
-Put a little more butter in the skillet and then put the sandwich back in the skillet with the side that is not browned down
-Cook for about 2 more minutes and your done!

Quick Tomato Basil Soup
---------------------------------------
This recipe is so easy just made from campbells soup!
-Put one can of tomato soup into a small pot
-Next fill the soup can up with 2% milk to make a creamier soup (more like tomato bisque)
-Let the soup come to a boil (add salt and pepper)
-Next bring the soup down to a simmer and add a tablespoon of fresh chopped basil

ENJOY YOUR SNOW DAY!
